3/12: Growing up in Aroostook County at The Lincoln Home
Event has passed
For the past 15 years, Hank Lunn has been writing stories about his experiences as a boy growing up on a little farm in Aroostook County during the 1930-50s, with his extended family; grandmother, grandfather, mom, dad, uncle, two brothers and a sister. They grew potatoes, beans, oats and vegetables; had cows, pigs, horses, and chickens; everything a family needed to survive; very little cash, but lots of hard work and love. We invite the public to hear Hank’s story on Monday, March 12, from 3:00 to 4:00pm. Colorful commentary and reminiscences will be provided by County native and Director of Nurses Millie Jones-Farnham. The event is free. The Lincoln Home is located at 22 River Road, Newcastle.
