First National Bank recently announced that it has made donations totaling $36,850 to organizations fighting food insecurity, including 35 food pantries in the bank’s market area.

“First National Bank is appreciative for the critical services that our food pantries provide to our neighbors in need,” acknowledged Tony C. McKim, president and CEO. “As a Maine community bank, we are committed to supporting to these vital organizations as they strive to help families put food on the table.” 

The 35 food pantries included: AIO Food Pantry in Rockland, All Souls Congregational Church in Bangor, Bangor Area Homeless Shelter, Bar Harbor Food Pantry, Belfast Soup Kitchen, Beth Wright Cancer Center in Ellsworth, Boothbay Region High School’s food pantry, Bread for the Journey in Warren, Bread of Life on Swan’s Island, Brewer Area Food Pantry, Calais School Department’s backpack program, Camden Area Christian Food Pantry, Caring for Kids in New Harbor, Come Spring Food Pantry in Union, Emmaus Homeless Shelter in Ellsworth, Foxcroft Academy’s Food Pantry in Dover-Foxcroft, Friendship/Cushing Food Pantry, Garrapy Food Pantry in Eastport, Help Yourself Shelf in Wiscasset, Irene Chadbourne Food Pantry in Calais, Liberty Area Food Pantry, Little Free Food Pantry on Vinalhaven , Loaves and Fishes in Ellsworth, Magic Food Bus in Blue Hill, Salvation Army in Bangor, Spectrum Generations Meals on Wheels, St. George Community Cupboard, The Community Fridge in Boothbay, Thomaston Interchurch Fellowship, Tree of Life in Blue Hill, Veggies to Table in Newcastle, Waldoboro Food Pantry, Westside Food Pantry in Southwest Harbor, Whitefield Food Pantry, Wiscasset Food Pantry, and Woodland Community Food Pantry in Baileyville.
