Frank Loring Teague, 83, died Aug. 22, 2014, surrounded by his family in Damariscotta.

Frank was born to Arnold Franklin Teague and Carrie Evelyn (Leach) on Feb. 3, 1931 in Warren.

Frank attended schools in Boothbay. After school, Frank helped his grandmother with the family farm in Warren after the untimely death of his grandfather. He later joined the Army, where he was awarded a number of medals for his honorable service.

Returning to Maine, he worked for Haggett's Garage in Wiscasset, and was an ace mechanic. It was there that he discovered his love for tinkering with engines, motors, even bicycles. If he found something he could repair, he would spend endless hours until he had it fixed. He later worked as a grounds-keeper for the Lincoln County Court House and the Gardiner Savings Banks. Frank always enjoyed the outdoors, but due to health issues, he sadly gave up his grounds keeping job.

Frank lived in Edgecomb and Boothbay over the years. Due to his ongoing health issues, he moved into the Boothbay Green, where he had lived for the past three years. He loved animals and would have had one if it were possible.

He is survived by a daughter, Cathy Orne and her husband John of Edgecomb; son, Richard Teague of Edgecomb; and sister, Joan N. Hodgdon and her husband Richard of Trevett. Frank had many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A private viewing and family gathering will be held at a later date.

Donations in Frank’s name can be made to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter, 27 Atlantic Highway, Edgecomb, ME 04556.

Services were entrusted to Hall’s of Boothbay, 975 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay.
