'Greek Cuisine Night' at CLC Adult Ed

Sat, 03/11/2017 - 7:00am

Those longing to be in the Greek Isles in March can enjoy the next best thing by cooking up a Greek meal with friends in Maine! Join instructor Debra Arter for "Greek Cuisine Night" being offered through Central Lincoln County Adult Education on Tuesday, March 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Nobleboro Central School.

During this three-hour course, students will prepare Greek lemon soup, spanakopita (spinach triangles) and amygdalota (Greek almond cookies). These dishes may have tricky names, but through this course participants will learn how easy they are to make at home and share the flavor of the Mediterranean region with family and friends.

So come hungry, bring a friend and enjoy an evening of food and fun, and learn something at the same time! Students should bring an apron and a plastic sealed container to take home samples to share. Recipes are provided in this hands-on cooking class.

The cost of the course is $29 with a materials fee of $10 payable to the instructor the night of class. Class size is limited so register today! To register, call CLC Adult Education at 563-2811, email clcae@aos93.org, visit clc.maineadulted.org, or stop by the office in the Pine Grove Plaza at the intersection of Route 1 and Business Route 1 in Damariscotta.
