On Thursday, Oct. 26, 6:30 p.m., Program Manager of Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District, Rebecca Jacobs, will introduce you to the plants “from away” that disturb natural ecosystems and replace native vegetation that defines our region and on which wildlife depends. 

The talk will be at the Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center in Rockland. You will learn how to recognize key invasives and explore control and prevention strategies.  Admission is by donation.  For more information, call 594-0600 ext. 5.
