Officers for the 2017-19 term of the Lincoln County Republican Committee (LCRC) were elected at its Jan. 18 meeting. With over 70 people in attendance and 56 Committee members present and voting, the following individuals were elected: Gordon Colby of Waldoboro, chairman; Dick Mayer, Damariscotta, vice chairman; Ken Fredric, Bristol, secretary; Shirley McLaren, Waldoboro, treasurer; and Vickie Burbank, Jefferson, finance chairman.

Outgoing Chairman Norm Hunt thanked all prior officers for their service to the LCRC, and charged the incoming officers with “…building on the successes of 2016.” Said Hunt, “I know the Committee will be in good hands for the next two years, and look forward to supporting Gordon, the new team, and recruiting excellent Republican candidates to run in local, state and national elections.” Hunt also thanked the Committee members and town committees for their work during the recent elections.

Incoming Chairman Colby shared Hunt’s vision for the future of the Committee, noting that he and the new leadership team “encourages Republicans throughout Lincoln County to become more active in town committees and participate fully in building a Republican Party that represents the people of the Midcoast.”

The incoming Board of Officers will be formally introduced at the February meeting. The date, time and location of the meeting will be announced in early February.
