Newcastle community climate workshop June 1

The town of Newcastle is currently working with service providers from Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust and the Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission to enroll in the state of Maine’s Community Resilience Partnership, a program which makes the town eligible for grants for climate action projects. Your feedback will help us determine how climate change is affecting residents and what Newcastle should do to address these challenges.

Newcastle residents are invited to join the town of Newcastle, Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission, and Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust to learn about the local impacts of climate change and to share their thoughts on what the town should do to prepare for the future. This workshop will include a brief introduction to the State of Maine’s Community Resilience Partnership, highlights of local climate impacts here in Newcastle, and a group discussion period for climate priority setting. Refreshments will be provided! The workshop details are below.

Newcastle Community Climate Workshop, Saturday, June 1, 2-3:30 p.m., Lincoln Academy’s ATEC Building, 89 Academy Hill Rd, Newcastle, ME 04553.
