"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” -  Johnny Depp returns to the big screen as the iconic, swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow who is  feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost sailors, led by his old nemesis the evil Capt. Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil's Triangle.

Jack's only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it, he must forge an uneasy alliance with a brilliant and beautiful astronomer and a headstrong young man in the Royal Navy to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune and save his life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has ever faced.

In addition to Depp, "Pirates" stars Javier Bardem, Brenton Thwaites, Kaya Scodelario, Kevin McNally and  Geoffrey Rush returns  as Capt. Barbossa.

"Pirates of the Caribbean- Dead Men Tell No Tales, rated PG13, has a running time of 135 minutes. It plays at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 25 through Thursday, June 8 with Sunday matinees on May 28 and June 4 at 2 p.m.

“A Quiet Passion” - Cynthia Nixon delivers a triumphant performance as Emily Dickinson as she personifies the wit, intellectual independence and pathos of the poet whose genius only came to be recognized after her death. Acclaimed British director Terence Davies exquisitely evokes Dickinson's deep attachment to her close-knit family along with the manners, mores and spiritual convictions of her time that she struggled with and transcended in her poetry. (PG-13) Playing at 2 and 7 p.m. Friday, May 26, Saturday, May 27 and Wednesday, May 31; Sunday, May 29 at 2 p.m. only.

Talking Art in Maine – Jesse Salisbury and Kazumi Hoshino, husband and wife sculptors: Influenced by Japanese stone splitting and carving techniques, Jesse Salisbury hand-splits and then reassembles the granite to bring out the stone's inherent movement, raw power, and natural beauty. Kazumi Hoshino lives close to nature; her sculpture is carved from local granite with a focus on intimate shapes. Thursday, June 1 at 7 p.m. A free event.
