During early November at Boothbay Region Adult Ed, you can learn how to create envelopes, labels and more on your computer, take Nia which is a mindful fitness dance class, become certified in CPR and first aid, or learn which cheese goes well with which wine.

If you haven't had time or the patience to figure out how to use the merge function or print an envelope, Merges, Labels and Envelopes is for you. Create address lists using Microsoft Excel to print labels or envelopes. Learn how easy it is and how much time you'll save. Create form letters and personalize them. Ideal for Christmas cards, weddings, letters, and more! Prerequsite: Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel is required.. This one evening class is on Monday, Nov. 6 from 6-8 p.m. The fee is $15.

Nia, mindful dance fitness, is an energizing barefoot cardio workout that empowers people by connecting the body, mind, and soul. Nia is non-impact and adaptable to individual needs and abilities. Nia combines martial arts, and dance, with mindful movement to leave you energized, mentally clear, and emotionally balanced. The class is taught by Anna Fiedler, a certified Nia blue belt teacher who has taught Nia since 2007. This class meets Mondays, Nov. 6-27, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and the fee is $38.

Are you uncertain about what cheese or food to pair with which wine? Cheese and Wine Pairings is a fun and interesting class at Eventide on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Learn to pair a variety of cheeses with the perfect wine for parties, holidays, or gatherings with friends. Kim will talk about complementing and contrasting pairings, cheeses to serve with a bold red wine and which cheese is a must with your favorite bubbly. Taste a selection of wines and a variety of cheeses.You must be 21 years old or older to attend. The time is 6:30-8 p.m. and the fee of $28, includes all tastings.

Adult/Pediatric CPR/AED and first aid is taught by a certified instructor and will show participants how to perform CPR (chest compressions and rescue breaths), recognize signs of and how to care for breathing emergencies and choking, what defibrillation is, how it works, and the precautions to take when using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). The first aid component includes identifying signals of common sudden illnesses and how to care for them, caring for seizures, controlling external bleeding, and other important topics. You will receive a two-year certificate upon successful completion. A two evening course is from 6-9 on Nov. 7 and Nov. 14. The cost is $70.
