“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” - Y Arts Presentation - Because of his shiny nose, Rudolph doesn’t feel like he belongs in Christmastown and sets off to find a place that accepts him. Along his journey, he encounters fellow misfits, only to realize that home is where he has belonged the whole time. When a storm threatens to keep Santa’s sleigh from taking flight, what makes Rudolph different turns out to be what helps him save Christmas! Two shows at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14 and Friday, Dec. 15. Tickets: $5 general admission.

“Maestro” - (R: 2 hours, 9 minutes) - A towering and fearless love story chronicling the lifelong relationship between Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein. A love letter to life and art, “Maestro” at its core is an emotionally epic portrayal of family and love. Stars Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan. Playing Friday, Dec. 15 at 1 p.m. (note early start time) and 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 2 and 7 p.m., and Thursday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m.

“The Magic Flute” - (1 hour, 40 minutes - no intermission) - Holiday Encore: The Met Live in HD -  The Met’s first-ever Live in HD transmission—the abridged, English-language version of Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” - returns to cinemas this holiday season. Tony Award–winner Julie Taymor conjures a spellbinding staging, replete with a kaleidoscope of color and parades of puppetry in this delightful production from 2006, featuring a stellar cast of Met stars including tenor Matthew Polenzani, baritone Nathan Gunn, and bass René Pape. Saturday, Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. Tickets: $15/adult, $13/members, $5/youth 18 and under.

Yellow Brick Road - A Tribute to Elton John - An LCTV presentation -  Yellow Brick Road, A Tribute to Elton John, from Augusta Maine, is a full concert tribute, complete with an incredible light show and sound system. Every detail of an actual Elton John concert is presented in such a way that will have Elton John fans screaming for more! Sunday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. Tickets: $30 general admission are available through LCTV.org. This special event is presented by Lincoln County Television.

“Elf” - (2003: PG. 1 hour, 37 minutes) - Free! - Buddy (Will Ferrell) was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa’s elves. Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn’t fit in, the adult Buddy travels to New York, in full elf uniform, in search of his real father. As it happens, this is Walter Hobbs (James Caan), a cynical businessman. After a DNA test proves this, Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with increasingly chaotic results. Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 5 p.m.

“Cup of Salvation” - (NR; 1 hour, 30 minutes) -  Lincoln Theater is pleased to present a special event film screening of “Cup of Salvation.” Aimee Keushguerian, Damariscotta native featured in the film, will be joining us for a talkback following the screening. What is truly in a glass of wine? Religion. War. Family. Survival.  A father (Vahe Keushguerian) and daughter (Aimee Keushguerian) set out to revive the ancient grapes of their homeland in Armenia. They must breathe life into the post-Soviet infrastructure of their country, harvest grapes during war and market their wine globally, from the battle-scarred Caucus Mountains to the clandestine vineyards hidden deep within the forbidden Iranian countryside. Featured wines will be available for purchase at concessions! Thursday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. Tickets: $12 adult, $9 members. Presented in partnership with Bred in The Bone, Damariscotta River Grill, SoPo Wine Co., and Salt Bay Trading Co. Special 5 p.m. dinner and wine services will be available at Bred in the Bone and Damariscotta River Grill.
