Sherri Fredette, Wiscasset’s treasurer and human resources officer, will retire Feb. 16.

“My husband, Paul, has been retired for years,” she said. “We’re ready to do some retirement things.” They plan to do a lot of travel, including road trips and travel out of the country.

“I’ve really liked working here,” she said. Fredette began working for the town in March 2012. “I will miss the nice people I’ve worked with. We have a very nice team here in Wiscasset.”

Fredette has been an accountant most of her life, after earning her MBA. She lives in Pemaquid. She has a daughter, Katrina, and three grandchildren. She also has a couple of cats, but they won’t be making any road trips with the couple. “We’ll find someone to stay with them,” she laughed. “Between the family and our retirement travel plans, we have plenty to keep us busy.”
