WMHS, McDonald’s aid rec scholarship program

The Wiscasset McDonald's and Wiscasset Middle High School worked together to sponsor McTeacher's Night on Friday, March 17. Radio station 99.9 FM “The Wolf” was live from McDonald's and gave out prizes such as hats and CDs. Teachers and students worked behind the counter taking orders and at the take out/pick up windows to raise money toward student scholarships at Wiscasset Parks and Recreation.
The money raised will assist kids who could not otherwise afford to attend summer camps and other programs. The school group earned 20 percent of the money made in the couple of hours they worked. The group raised $200 for the scholarship program.
