Woolwich absentee voting information

Woolwich has four ballots for the upcoming election: state, municipal and two for Regional School Unit 1 The state ballot’s four questions include two citizen initiatives, one bond issue and one Constitutional amendment.

The municipal ballot has three residents vying for two seats on the select board. The RSU ballot includes the school referendum and a seat on the board of directors.

Voting in person will begin in Woolwich on Friday, Oct. 6. Absentee request forms can be completed at town hall for the voter or immediate family.  This allows voters the opportunity to take the ballots home to review before casting their votes. Deadline to vote absentee is Thursday, Nov. 2, at 4 p.m. Deadline to return outstanding absentee ballots is on Nov. 7 at 8 p.m.

Absentee ballots can be requested via telephone by the voter.  You cannot call for someone else. Absentee requests can also be completed online at https://www1.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/AbsenteeBallot/online-form.pl
