The Harbor Theater is grateful to all the many moviegoers who have joined as members (now over 200 memberships sold) and donors who have come forward to help save the theater. We would like to thank them, and reach out to the whole community with two FREE holiday showings of “Home Alone“ on Two free shows: Thursday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. Free popcorn for all. We hope that parents, grandparents and friends will all bring their kids and grandkids to see it on the big screen.

Almost 30 years after it first came out, “Home Alone” is still holding its own as a Christmas favorite. The beloved comedy is about a young boy named Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) who was left behind when his family leaves for a holiday vacation in France. Kevin learns to buy groceries, feed himself, entertain himself, and eventually, set a series of booby traps for a couple of bumbling burglars who plan to rob the whole Winnetka, Illinois, neighborhood where he lives.

The jokes still work, the kids love the booby traps, Culkin is a hugely endearing child left to his own devices, and we defy any parent to not be in stitches at the end. See it on the big screen - more hilarious than ever.

The Harbor Theater is located in the mall across from Hannaford’s market, at 185 Townsend Avenue. FMI: 633-0438 or http://boothbaycinema.org
