Wiscasset Public Library hosts Fundamentals of Integrative Nutrition with Julie Mitchell

January 16, 2019 – 5 to 6:45 p.m.

This program is free and open to the public.

Integrative nutrition is unique to every individual body. This interactive, informal group talk will have plenty of time for questions.

Some of the topics Julie will cover are:

bio-individuality (no two people are alike, therefor different things work for different people)

crowding out (not eliminating or restricting foods, but adding good things in)

primary and secondary food (balancing lifestyle)

digestion and gut health

deconstructing cravings (learn what your body is trying to tell you)

vitamin L (cooking and nourishing with love)

using food as medicine

food sensitivities

vegetarian? vegan? Paleo? keto?  How do you know what to eat? Why so many diets?

Julie is, very generously, offering a free consultation (scheduled for another time) with anyone who attends.

Julie Mitchell is a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach who has enjoyed teaching young children for nearly 30 years before choosing to move into her new career in Integrative Nutrition. Her interest was sparked when she observed the connection of the typical diet of highly processed, artificial foods and increasing chronic health issues, food sensitivities, behavior and learning issues. She also realized that some of her own health issues were stemming from stress and anxiety caused by the changing public school system. She now coaches individuals, couples and families and provides workshops and classes both in Integrative Nutrition and cooking. She loves working with people to help them make positive changes in their lives!

Julie lives in Wiscasset with her husband, golden retriever and cat in an old farmhouse nestled on a hill overlooking the Sheepscot River. They have raised 5 grown children and enjoy art, music, cooking and traveling.
