Benefit holiday meal at Damariscotta Lake

Wed, 11/30/2016 - 10:30am

Twas the sixteenth of December, when all through the lodge, not a person was missing, not even a stranger in need of a feast. The tables were set in the Learning Center with care in hopes that hungry guests soon would be there. The menu is set paired with holiday treats and delectable eats, with chefs to plate up flavor and cheer and seasonal music to fill the air. Friends from the Coastal Community Center will join in the fun to help us unite the whole community in one, and raise funds for Spectrum Generations’ community-based programs and services in Lincoln County.

In keeping with the spirit of giving and the season, Kieve-Wavus’ Hospitality Director Diane Impallomeni has invited friends of the Coastal Community Center to a special holiday luncheon at the Kennedy Learning Center on the shores of Damariscotta Lake in Nobleboro on Friday, Dec. 16. The menu will feature a baked seafood casserole. There will be a welcome reception at 11:30 a.m. followed by the luncheon at noon. Seasonal music will be performed by harpist Barbara Wright. While luncheon guests linger over dessert and beverage, poet and performance artist George Van Deventer will read seasonal verses.

Cost is $8 per person if you bring a friend who has never dined with Spectrum Generations at the Kennedy Learning Center. Otherwise, $10 per person. Reservation deadline is Dec. 13.
