Tue, 06/26/2018 - 8:45am

The 7th annual Harbor Fest will once again kick off Labor Day Weekend in Boothbay Harbor with the popular three-day tasting event, 5k, half marathon and a newly added Labor Day event. Local businesses will host a variety of creative events throughout the week and the festival will close with a full weekend of fun on the waterfront at Ocean Point Marina in East Boothbay.

This festival is about showcasing our entire region, so we are incredibly excited to direct attendees to East Boothbay, where they can experience the “East Side Vibe.”

The new “East Side Vibe” weekend will kick off on Friday, Sept. 7 with a welcome reception at Lobsterman’s Wharf Restaurant from 4-6 p.m. Doors will officially open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8 and will encompass the marina grounds in a street fair atmosphere.

General admission for a weekend pass is $10 for adults (advance purchase, $15 at the door) and free for kids under 12. Admission includes: A main stage featuring seven bands throughout the weekend, dozens of creative vendors, food trucks and interactive family fun activities. Complimentary shuttle service to event parking areas will also be provided throughout the weekend.

    Event hours: Saturday, Sept. 8, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 9, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The popular Fishin’ For Fashion show will make its debut at Ocean Point Marina on Saturday, Sept. 8 with many surprises in store for faithful fans. The event will once again benefit the BRHS Project Graduation and students will help to produce the show. Doors will open at 1 p.m. for VIP ticket holders and the show begins at 2 p.m. New this year, attendees can purchase VIP tables and runway seating (available until sold out). Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at festival websites. The 5-piece Portland based band, Downeast Soul Coalition, will hit the stage immediately following the fashion show.
