The Clamshell Quilters group meets at the Faith Baptist Church on the Mills Road in Newcastle. Guests, visitors, and new members are always welcome. The afternoon chat and sew session starts at 2 p.m. March 12. This will be an opportunity to continue sewing crop circle blocks, or work on a project of your own. Bring something to eat and drink if you plan to stay throughout the afternoon and the evening program.

At 5:30 p.m. Judy Sala is hosting Leah from Clementine's, an apparel fabric boutique located in Rockland. Leah will talk about what's new and exciting in fabrics and clothing design. Besides quilting, clothing and decorator fabrics the shop carries felted wool, yarn and all sorts of related notions. If you haven't been to the shop yet, it's worth a trip.
