The first conversation features Ron Chernow speaking on his most recent biography of Ulysses S. Grant.  Chernow, a Pulitzer Prize winner and biographer of Alexander Hamilton, George Washington and John D. Rockefeller, explores further his research and writing on one of our most compelling generals and presidents. Captured live on Nov. 10, the free screening will take place on Friday, Jan. 12.

The second conversation features J.D. Vance, author of “Hillbilly Elegy.” Hillbilly Elegy has become the book of these challenging times, with senators on both sides of the aisle turning to it to try to understand the current political moment. Author J. D. Vance joins General (Ret.) David H. Petraeus for a conversation about the challenges facing white working-class Americans and the choices we make for ourselves, our communities and our country. Captured live on Oct. 10, the free screening will take place on Friday, Jan. 26.

General (Ret.) David H. Petraeus (New York) joined the KKR global investment firm in June 2013 and is Chairman of the KKR Global Institute. He oversees the Institute's thought leadership platform focused on geopolitical and macro-economic trends, as well as environmental, social and governance issues. Prior to joining KKR, Gen. Petraeus served over 37 years in the US military, including command of coalition forces in Iraq and in Afghanistan, and command of U.S. Central Command. Following his military service, he was Director of the CIA.

Both screening broadcasts, Jan. 12 and 26 will take place at 2 p.m. at the Lincoln Theater in Damariscotta. Doors will open at 1:15. The theater is located at 2 Theater St, Damariscotta. For more information, visit www.atthelincoln.org.
