Five Wiscasset residents have filed papers for three seats on the board of selectmen.  Each seat has a term of two years, ending in 2020. Nominations closed April 15, Town Clerk Linda Perry said.

Incumbent selectmen Benjamin Rines Jr. and Judy Colby are running. Jeff Slack did not seek reelection. Former selectman William David Cherry,  past selectman’s candidate Kimberly Andersson, and Jennifer Hanley, owner of a local cleaning business, round out the field.

Budget Committee member Judy Flanagan is seeking a new one-year term. Water District Trustee Phillip DiVece seeks a new three-year term. And Indriani Demers is running for a three-year term on the School Committee. The two current members whose terms are up, Gene Stover and Glen Craig, did not seek reelection,  the school department’s administrative assistant Stacey Souza said.
