The former Ukraine

Does anyone think Putin will stop after Ukraine? That’s not how this works. And if anyone thinks Putin considers the U.S. hands off, that we cannot be dominated or ended, that we wouldn’t let that happen because we have a strong defense and would see it coming and would stop it, I’d say you’re right, if we did not have a major presidential candidate who speaks supportively of Putin and has a real chance of being President again; and who has encouraged Congressional inaction on both the border and Ukraine aid.

That is pretty powerful, to have that sway; imagine once he is back in the White House. He has already suggested Russia do “whatever the hell they want” with delinquent NATO nations. Wow, don’t we all still want a world of peace? I don’t understand all the meanness.

As our aid that amped up Ukraine’s defense has been drying up, the network news has gotten harder to watch: Ukraine was in shambles from the invasion but had still been holding its own against its invader. Now the situation is going the other way, with progress for Russian forces and more news of children and other civilians’ lives ended.

How many years or months until news reports are saying “the former Ukraine,” and the Russian rhetoric of Ukraine’s being part of Russia, is the reality?

We have pulled the rug out. Good luck, Ukraine, a country of courage. You have our prayers and our tears, but you will need more than that, and apparently you won’t get it from us.
