Mon, 05/13/2019 - 11:45am

Danielle Ward, 35, of Hope, was sentenced to six years in prison May 6 after changing her plea to guilty in March in connection with a January 2017 crash that claimed the lives of a Woolwich couple, Robert S. Martin, 70, and Carolyn W. Martin, 76.

Ward changed her plea after a motion to suppress blood evidence was denied. She pleaded guilty to two counts of Manslaughter and one count each of Operating Under the Influence (drugs or combo), Aggravated Driving to Endanger, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

After she serves her prison time, she will be on probation for four years.
