Legion breakfasts to begin again

Mon, 03/20/2017 - 12:45pm

Spring must be here! The American Legion Post 36 breakfasts resume Sunday, April 2 at the Legion Hall in the Boothbay Industrial Park.

As in the past, they will be held every other week thereafter. And again, we will be partnered with the Boothbay Region Community Resources Council. This partnership last year doubled our attendance at our breakfasts and resulted in $900 donation to BRCRC. As always, a donation of $7 is requested for each adult and kids eat free! All members of the community and their friends are welcome.

Breakfasts typically include the traditional scrambled eggs, bacon (high quality getting great reviews), sausage, home fried potatoes, hash, baked beans, and a variety of cereals. Back by popular demand are the Belgian waffles with all the trimmings!

There is a slight time change. Breakfast will be served from 7 to 9 a.m. In the past, the breakfasts went to 9:30. By serving until 9, those who come at 9 will be able to enjoy their breakfasts before clean up starts. So, spread the word!

As a reminder, the money we raise during this event serves not only veteran programs in our area, but also our whole community by our partnership with BRCRC! Hope to see all of you on April 2!
