Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: 3 arrests

    The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 224 calls for service for the period of April 30 to May 7. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 4,097 calls for service.

    Summons

    Karen M. Rowe, 59, of Randolph was issued a summons May 6 for Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer, on Gardiner Road, Dresden, by Deputy Justin Drake.

    Arrests

    Christianna M. Rhoades, 24, of Richmond was arrested May 2 on two Sagadahoc County warrants for Failure to Appear on an Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked – OUI, on Lawrence Road, Dresden, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.

     Maura E. Duclos, 57, of Jefferson was arrested May 3 for Violating a Protection Order, on Swift Lane, Jefferson, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.

    Sierra P. Leigh, 26, of Randolph was arrested May 5 for Violating Condition of Release and Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drug, on Lawrence Road, Dresden, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.

    Accidents

    On April 30, an accident occurred on Jones Woods Road in Newcastle involving Erik S. Cook, 28, of Jefferson. Mr. Cook was operating his 2003 Honda motorcycle southbound and as he was rounding a corner, close to the centerline, a dump truck was over the yellow line by approximately 1 to 2 feet into his travel lane. As a result, Mr. Cook moved to the outside of his lane and hit the soft shoulder, causing him to lose control and crash. The dump truck continued northbound and did not stop. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.

    On May 2, an accident occurred on West Alna Road in Alna involving Cathryn A. Jones, 51, of Alna. Ms. Jones was operating her 2021 Toyota Rav4 southbound when a deer ran out in front of her and was struck, causing front-end damage to her vehicle. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.

    On May 4, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Wiscasset involving Matthew J. Heath, 51, of Boothbay and Daniel G.R. Ouellette, 23, of Wiscasset. Mr. Ouellette was operating his 2019 Jeep Cherokee eastbound, driving through the parking lot of Wiscasset Middle School, when Mr. Heath started to back out his 2017 Toyota Tacoma northbound. Heath backed out unsafely, causing his back driver’s side bumper and tail light to strike Ouellette’s back passenger quarter panel. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.

    On May 4, an accident occurred on Grand Army Road in Whitefield involving Orelia Hayden-Ladd, 68, of Augusta. Ms. Hayden-Ladd was operating her 2009 Chevrolet Suburban westbound when a moose entered the roadway, running right to left. As a result, Ms. Hayden-Ladd struck the moose with her front driver’s side corner, causing functional damage. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.

    On May 5, an accident occurred on Barters Island Road in Boothbay involving Jason A. Barter, 60, of Trevett. Mr. Barter was operating his 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound when a deer ran out in front of him and was struck, causing front left side damage to his vehicle. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
