Wed, 05/30/2018 - 4:30pm

Of the two Alna residents who took out nomination papers for second selectman, one, Ed Pentaleri, turned  the papers in by the May 29 deadline, Town Clerk Liz Brown said. So Pentaleri will be only candidate on the ballot for the seat Melissa Spinney left when voters made her first selectman in March, Brown said.

The second selectman’s term expires at the March 2019 annual town meeting, Brown said.

The election is June 12, when voters also go to the polls for the state primaries and three Sheepscot Valley Regional School Unit 12 questions, Brown said.

Polls will be open at the fire station on Route 218 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
