According to an email from Maine Department of Transportation, work for the week ending July 21 will include excavation and graveling on Railroad Avenue from Route 1, about 250 feet down Railroad Avenue. The contractor will then move to the end of Railroad Avenue and excavate for the new parking lot. Owing to this activity, there will be extensive trucking in and out of Water Street for the next two weeks, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Work will begin to prepare to build the retaining wall on Railroad Avenue, and the contractor will complete sewer work at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Water Street overnight on July 21.
