River Arts in Damariscotta is inviting artists throughout Maine to submit artwork for jurying in its upcoming exhibition, “Figures.” Looking for human figures in all representations - sketches, drawings, paintings ... abstract and real.

Artists can submit up to three works in any medium including sculpture, photography, collage, painting, ceramics, and fine craft – representational or abstract.  Animal may also be included. Entry fees: $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers.

Submissions may not have been shown at River Arts previously. Entry forms are available online at riverartsme.org and at the gallery, at 241 U.S. Route 1 in Damariscotta, when submitting. All works must have artist’s name on the back.

Work can be delivered anytime during gallery hours until the deadline, which is Saturday, March 10 at 4 p.m.

An opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 16, 5-7 p.m.

The juror for the show is Kris Engman.Artists will be notified by email or phone of the juror’s decision.
