River Arts’ has a new member show

River Arts in Damariscotta, is inviting the public to the opening reception for its 10th annual Member Show, Friday, June 8 from 5-7 pm. The artwork by 85 member artists on exhibit are strong, diverse and inspiring – and represent a wide variety of media and styles. The exhibition runs through July 5.

This year’s annual member celebration will also include an art rummage sale fundraiser – a great way to pick up frames or other supplies inexpensively and an opening in the West Gallery for Jessica Sirois and Stephanie Wright.

Member artists in the Boothbay region: John Butke, Sharon Ryan - Boothbay; Carol Fisher - Boothbay Harbor; Annette Stormont - East Boothbay; Sarah Fisher, Claire Hancock, Frieda Hanlon, Leilani Havens, Hannah Ineson, Caroline Janover, Polly Steadman, Mary Winkes - Damariscotta; William Anthony, John Lorence - Edgecomb; Carolyn Gabbe, Elizabeth Palmer - Nobleboro; Peter Felsenthal - Trevett; Fran Scannell - West Boothbay Harbor; Katharine Price, Virginia Forrest - Wiscasset.

River Arts is located at 241 U.S. Route 1 in Damariscotta and  is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10  a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Closed on Mondays.
