“Murder on the Orient Express” - Based on the stylish and suspenseful 1934 mystery by Agatha Christie, the film starts out as a lavish trip through Europe and quickly unfolds into a race against time to solve a murder aboard the famous train. The world's greatest detective, Hercule Poirot is booked passage on the train for a bit of vacation time, but ends up sleuthing - interrogating all the passengers and search for clues before the killer can strike again.

Kenneth Branagh directs and leads an all-star cast including Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley and Josh Gad. Last screening is Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m.

“Miracle on 34th Street” (1947) - comedy/drama that has become a perennial Christmas favorite. Kris Kringle (Edmund Gwynn), seemingly the embodiment of Santa Claus, is asked to portray the jolly old fellow at Macy's. Supervisor Maureen O'Hara begins having second thoughts about hiring Kris because his portrayal of Santa Claus is so complete those who meet him believe he is Santa while others begin questioning Kris’ sanity.

“The Florida Project”  - Set over one summer, the film follows precocious 6-year-old Moonee as she courts mischief and adventure with her ragtag playmates and bonds with her rebellious but caring mother, all while living in the shadows of Disney World. Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” (1954) - Celebrate the season with this Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen classic in which a successful song-and-dance team become romantically involved with a sister act and team up to save the failing Vermont inn of their former commanding general.  Playing Thursday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m.; then follow the bouncing ball at 7 p.m. and sing-along!  This is a free event.

“Lady Bird” - Christine "Lady Bird" McPherson (Saoirse Ronan) fights against, but is exactly like, her wildly loving, deeply opinionated and strong-willed mom (Laurie Metcalf), a nurse working tirelessly to keep her family afloat after Lady Bird's father (Tracy Letts) loses his job. Set in Sacramento, California in 2002, amidst a rapidly shifting American economic landscape, Lady Bird is an affecting look at the relationships that shape us, the beliefs that define us, and the unmatched beauty of a place called home. “Planet Earth: Season One” - As of its release in early 2007, “Planet Earth” is quite simply the greatest nature/wildlife series ever produced.
