Wanted: Men who like to sing

Thu, 04/12/2018 - 8:00am

Come out of the shower and join other men who like to sing — in a barbershop chorus!

The Nor-easters practice at 7 p.m. every Tuesday night at the Bath United Methodist Church, 340 Oak Grove Ave., Bath. One of our guest nights is Tuesday, May 1.  Join us and see how much fun it is to make a great sound and enjoy the fellowship of other men who sing. Members are from Bristol to Auburn and all places in between as well as from ages 18 to 88.

Our director is Kathy Robitaille of Alna, who has a bachelor of science degree in music education from the University of Southern Maine. She got into directing the former barbershop chorus in Camden in 1999 and never turned back, becoming the Nor'easters Director in 2010.

In addition to the occasional concert, we sing at assisted living facilities and nursing homes all over the area, deliver singing valentines, and   we sometimes sing at private functions.
