Wiscasset Police Department posted the following on its Facebook page shortly before midnight Wednesday night:

“The Wiscasset Police Department is closely monitoring the ongoing situation in Lewiston and Lisbon.

“Additional officers are on duty and prepared to assist as needed.

“Our thoughts are with all those affected.”
