Friday, Oct. 19 was Pink Day for a cause at Wiscasset Middle High School. Students and staff wore pink to bring awareness and support to breast cancer research, technology coordinator and student council adviser Debra Pooler said.

Plans called for the student council to provide pink ribbons and information to students and staff and collect donations for breast cancer research, Pooler said. Participants gathered for a group photo on the school steps.
