Nine workshops for writers, each focusing on a different topic, ranging from "What Are You Really Writing About?" to "Pathways to Publication,” at The Merry Barn Writers' Retreat, 417 River Rd., Edgecomb.

    Writers of all levels welcomed. Dates are Wednesdays, June 26, July 3, July 17, July 24, July 31, August 7, 14, 21, 28. All sessions 6-9 p.m.

As an editor and writing coach, I have worked with many writers, ranging from professional journalists to college-bound students. At the Harvard Graduate School of Education, I studied how children acquire narrative skills. Today I spend more time helping adults hone those narrative skills while helping them retain the freshness of their first attempts at storytelling.

A writer myself, I take great joy in helping other writers find their most compelling voices. My goal with  From Memory to Memoir is to ensure that your original insights and experiences shine throughout your writing. I can help you figure out how to begin your writing process and how to organize your story to make it as forceful and striking as possible.
