Santa at Spectrum Generations Dec. 21

Thu, 12/15/2016 - 7:45am

Spectrum Generations Coastal Community Center, 521 Main Street in Damariscotta, will, in the spirit of the holiday season, host Santa’s Holiday Luncheon and a Twas the Night Before Christmas Swap on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 11:15 a.m.

Following the luncheon where Santa will be the guest of honor, the Evergreen String Orchestra under the direction of Katie Newell will perform seasonal selections. Bring a small gift to pass and exchange as Twas the Night Before Christmas is read.

Share a song, a poem, holiday memory or story, bring your musical instrument and create an improvisational group performing holiday tunes or leading a holiday sing-a-long using the Center’s keyboard. Be festive and remember to wear your favorite holiday outfit (sweater, shirt, skirt, pants, tie, hat, cap, fascinator, ear muffs or jewelry).

Luncheon reservations are required.  Please call 563-1363 by noon on Monday, Dec.19 to make your luncheon reservation. Baked ham will be served. For those over 60 years of age, the suggested donation is $5 per person.  For all others, Coastal’s lunch and learn program is $6.50 per person.

Can’t make it to lunch?  Community members are always welcome to attend the Center’s Wednesday Learn portion of the day’s Lunch and Learn program, which will begin at noon.

In another opportunity, have your 2016 Christmas photo taken with Santa. Make a $5 donation or more to the Center’s Meals on Wheels program and the digital image will be sent to your e-mail account. Well-behaved and friendly pets are welcome to have their pictures taken with Santa and their best human friends on Dec. 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., during the holiday luncheon.
