Every year area organizations and generous individuals, including Wiscasset schools’ staff and students, offer help to families who may need assistance in providing a Thanksgiving dinner.

If your family is in need of help with a Thanksgiving dinner basket this year, call Kathy Onorato at the Wiscasset town office (882-8200, ext. 103) and leave the following information: How many adults and children are in your family, and a phone number to reach you if your family is able to be helped.

The basket typically includes all the fixings to prepare your Thanksgiving dinner. Vouchers to purchase turkeys at Shaw’s will also be included.

All requests for baskets are to be made no later than Nov. 18. Thanksgiving dinner baskets will be picked up at St. Philip’s Church at 12 Hodge Street, on Tuesday, Nov. 22, between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
