Wiscasset library holds Christmas sale Dec. 10 for children and adults

Tue, 11/22/2016 - 8:15am

On Saturday, Dec. 10, the Wiscasset Public Library is holding a festive Christmas sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library at 21 High Street. A variety of donated items will be for sale including handmade and costume jewelry, original paintings, prints, ceramics, antique collectibles and books — gifts to delight all ages.

The event is especially geared to children, as library volunteers will be on hand to guide the little ones through Santa’s Workshop and help them select inexpensive holiday gifts for their parents and other family members. So be sure to have the children bring their spending money with them.

While the children shop, the older folk will search for gifts in another area of the library. Library volunteers will wrap all presents for free in festive holiday style.

Some of the items that don’t sell that day will be available in the foyer at the library until Dec. 24.

Plan to arrive early for the event with your little ones to find the largest selection of gifts.

For more information, call the library at 882-7161. All proceeds will go to the Friends of the Library to support maintenance efforts.
