WJD Street Parade 2023
It has been a rainy 61st Windjammer Days in Boothbay Harbor but the rain before the parade did not stop participants or spectators from taking to the streets on Wednesday, June 28. After all, the Street Parade is one of the most beloved and anticipated of the Festival events!
Parade float judges Nancy Harriman, Bill Bailey and Bet Finocchiaro awarded the following prizes:
First place: Ice Cream Hut/Dolphin Mini Golf
Second place: Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens
Third place: American Legion Auxiliary.
The Boothbay’s Got Talent float carried 2023 Top Royal Imij Armstead and Royal Windjammer Adeline Inman; and former title winners and competitors, many who are regular Y-Arts performers. Judging were Meagan Cope, Kathleen Cunningham, Connie Faulkingham and Amanda Shepard.
